The sailboat
“Ubatuba”, skippered by Paulo Caetano, left Ubatuba on April
6, 2000 bound for Florianópolis, and from there to Recife, on
a voyage along the Brazilian coast.
From
Recife, “Ubatuba” then set sail for Fernando de Noronha,
taking part in the “Recife to Fernando de Noronha Regatta”.
On the return leg “Ubatuba” then took part in the “Noronha
to Natal Regatta”, achieving second place in its category.
Finally,
the voyage back from Natal began, arriving in Ubatuba on January 10,
2002.In total the boat covered 4,600 miles and visited 10 states.

different ports and anchorages were visited, including penetrations
along the following rivers: Itapanhaú, São Francisco do
Sul Peruipe, Caravelas, das Contas, Maraú, Real, Piaui, Sergipe,
São Francisco, Paraiba and the Potegi.
